Looked like it had a carb on it, didn't they put a Ram-Jet 350 in that truck?

Interesting! Did the Wicked Willys also get a Ram Jet? Perhaps it got the one that had been in the Blazer? /forums/images/icons/shocked.gif Or maybe they swapped in a low-budget rebuild in order to be able to drop the price on Big Blaze.... /forums/images/icons/mad.gif

Description says 4 bbl, and what about those fender flares? A.) I don't mind them, but put the rear ones on too, so it doesn't look half-assed B.) When did they put them on??? I knew from the show Stacy said the tires hit a little, but not much and when it was first for sale, I don't think they were on there.
I have a feeling somebodies been using/abusing it for a while (didn't notice if there was any mileage/odometer readings given)....
Still a kick-ass rig for the price (considering the goods) even if they did put a carb on, at least bolting the EFI on should be a piece of cake if anyone decided to.

No front ARB, it was an eaton from the get go. What I dont understand is the 4" lift. I thought they put a 6" skyjacker lift under it? And I dont get this carb thing eaither. I bet they swapped motors...Look at the dudes other auctions, nice Kaiser!!!

Those fender flares on the front are the cut-out flares! /forums/images/icons/tongue.gif

I remember someone saying the tires made contact with the fenders on its first outing. Probably why the front has the flares and not the rears. /forums/images/icons/tongue.gif Looks stupid without the rear flares on.

I still hate cut-out flares though. /forums/images/icons/mad.gif PITA to install and not very sturdy or durable plastic. I broke the front cut-outs on Brown Turd with the 46" Firestones. /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif

Re: Projest \"Blaze\" from TNN Trucks on ebay..

I sent the guy this address to see if he can anwser some questions about it (Chad). Will see if he shows up here. If it really is the truck, I'd buy it and use it to tow my blazer.... /forums/images/icons/wink.gif /forums/images/icons/grin.gif /forums/images/icons/grin.gif /forums/images/icons/grin.gif
I think it would be cool to have "Big Blaze" towing the trooper ("Bigger Blaze")......hehe.

I sent him an e-mail and he was nice to reply: Here is his response:

Hi,
This is the "real thing" off of TNN Trucks and it does
have a Eaton carbon in front, not an ARB. The engine was
swapped with a built up Chevy 350. The trans. and t-case are
different from the show too. It has a tape player and
front/rear speakers. I will try and get some pics of the
interior for you. Thanks!
Parker & Chad

It has been "cannabalized" a little, but it still is a good deal. I know people who have put that much into their Blazers/Jimmys and still have far less. Oh well, hopefully somebody from here will buy it. I was seriously considering it, but I found an 88 for sale in MASS. cheap (see Noangel's post).

What is so special abuot it? kick ass truck? you could build a lot more stout rig for cheaper then that i think, that truck really has been robbed of the goods, the only thing really worth while is the rear end, and the tires, i mean it was on TV and you could "Say" you owned the blazer from "Trucks" but thats about it......... Dont you think they coulda found a D60 for the front of it? but the people that took all the good parts off it prolly woulda snatched that too i guess hehe,

Re: Projest \"Blaze\" from TNN Trucks on ebay..

If you were to buy the custom bumpers, straight not rotted sheetmetal, herculiner, rear ARB, HD axles (granted not a D60 or 14FF, but definitely much stronger than stock), wheels, tires, soft top, etc. etc. (even though some of the real good stuff is gone), you still have a "kick-ass" platform, with a solid frame and lift, and heavy duty driveshafts. You build that for me for less than 9K and I'll be knocking at your doorstep (even if you powered it with a 305, and stock 82 700r4). Could it be better.....Always, even Steve Watson's rig could be "better", but you know what, I'd take his in a heartbeat. Yes it would be cool to get the EFI 350, built 700, D60, twin ARB's, 14 FF, winch, etc. etc. along with everything that is there for less than $1000, but I don't think you will see that in our lifetime (although you can hold your breath waiting /forums/images/icons/wink.gif ). So yes I will stand by my original statement.

All in good fun though /forums/images/icons/smile.gif
