Pro\'s and con\'s of removing inner fender wells.

Thinking of removing the inner fender wells. I see alot of rigs with them removed. Sure will make it easy too change the plugs. What do you think ??? Pro's and con's.

Keep it out of the mud and water.

Also, if they sand/salt the roads up there when it snows, that crap gets everywhere and tears crap up.

Prolly help it run cooler in crawling situations, but I wouldn't go romping through the mud w/ no inner fenders. /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif

[/ QUOTE ] Wouldn't be hard too put them back in befor winter, and mudding. Just a few bolts. I kinda like the look of the truck without them.

Just curious...do you do anything to your truck without asking people first??? Sounds like they are already off and that you like it, its a pretty obvious situation, bad in mud/water etc etc...easy to put back on, so whats the problem?

Like the Nike ad says, JUST DO IT /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif

It cools the engine a ton better. Mine was overheating before but afterwards it runs fine.

Back to the topic at hand... doesn't the battery tray (or trays) attach to the fender well? I've got a bunch of other stuff screwed into them too, so it's not really an option even if I wanted to have a load of Iowa salt all over my motor. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

[/ QUOTE ] It's attached to the raditor support on my truck, but I will relocate it to behind the rear seat anyways, so that's not a issue. What part of Iowa are you located in ??? I still have family on the western parts of (I) (O)tta (W)ent (A)round.

Well, they're out now, along with 10 to 20 pounds of dirt that came down into my face. /forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif/forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif But I'm happy too have them out. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif Makes it easier too see where I'll be trimming the fenders. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif Once the fenders do get trimmed, I might make new inner fender wells.
