About a year ago, I started eating more fruits and veggies and less starchy foods. I also cut way down on the soda pop and drink more water. Went to multi grain bread instead of white bread. I don't exersize nowhere near as much as I should though. We do have a treadmill, but I'm too lazy too use the damn thing.

the key to loosing weight is simple and its one f***in word. DISCIPLINE! Having the abiltity to eat right. hell im sure Z3PR will agree that if he took a little more time and excercised too that hed prolly be at his goal weight by now. excerise helps alot but eating right is key. im sick of hearing people complain that they are fat while scarfing down a double cheese burger:rolleyes: Or its just to hard to do it, my body is not meant to be thin. what a load of crap. get out of the mcdonalds drive through, and go get a salad!

I've tried too cut out of most of the "Fastfood" too. I'm down too once every week or two. No more drivethrough every other day for my fat arse.

    Good work!!

Yep eating more fruit and veges and in the drive thru order a salad instead of fries and a normal size burger instead of a triple. For me portion control was a big part of dropping weight.

Good job, Paul. Changing your eating habits is one of the toughest thing a guy can do, especially if you're like me and like all the WRONG foods. Keep up the good work, and keep us posted on how your progress is coming along.:thumb:

I've always liked almost all veggies, and for fruit, I've been buying a bag of apples one week, oranges the next, and pears every now and then. I have fruit when I want something sweat. Natural sugar is better then adding sugar to something in my opinion. I still like steak, but I've cut down on the baked potato dripping in butter with sour cream.

    good job dude... :waytogo:

50 lbs is a big loss.. how much around the waist? i'm thinking new wardrobe... :wink1:

i need to drop some more... tho i definitely don't look it, i was hovering around 250 for quite awhile.. bad thing when your a skateboarder with 6 knee surgeries under your belt.. carrying that extra weight is not good on the ole knee actuators... i've dropped about 25, i'd like to get down to 200...

bread and cheese are my weaknesses.. bagels and cheddar, mmmmm. :wink1:

I've noticed I've felt and slept better in the past few weeks that I've upped my fluid intake. On average a pitcher of Gatorade (I make it watery), and a couple glasses of water all in a day. Might give that a shot too! No Kool-Aid though!

Yup, dehydration is a major cause of lack of energy. FWIW, I drink about 6 litres of water a day in the winter, and sometimes as much as 10 litres a day in the summer.
