i would like to get a push bar on the front of the rig, and a small winch. not the chromed-out, headlight-to-headlight cage that cherokee owners use, just one sturdy enough to mount a winch on. i'm thinking that a smaller winch would work, if i use a pulley system to double its capacity, right? or am i fooling myself? i know bigger is better, but i'd like to stay as low profile as i could.
a friend said he's seen some on pick-ups, but they kinda look like bubba gump. if there's something i could mount behind the grille, that would be sweet. i don't want a big ol' bumper that winches normally require. my wife wrapped my front bumper around a macdonalds drive-through pole shortly after purchase, and i'm kinda attached to the $200.00 replacement one.
i've checked out jc whitney, and summit and whatnot, but all their front guards are for looks, it seems.

You could always mount a tow-hitch in the front, and get a winch mounted to use the hitch-receiver in the front or back. Dual purpose and you could keep the winch inside your rig.
