On an 88 Suburban are the Power window motors the same for the front and rear doors? Also are the interchangable from side to side?

the motors themselves might be same side to side, but thats about all, check an LMC catalog or call a salveage yard and have them look in their GM truck hollanders manual real quick, can look up for burb, pickup, or blazer, doesnt matter

Just did both F&R on drivers side in my 91, and yes! they same! (brackets may differ, and locally a core on the motor too!... MOTOR, NOT YOUR BRACKET!!).
I bought 1 local (just under $50) and 1 on ebay (got it for very little less.. and with shipping, about the same).

Wear long sleeves! those doors can bite!!
