Q\'s about 4WD light in dash...mine quit working

not that it is needed but it was working and I am trying to trace the problem. I changed the bulb out in the dash(more than once to be sure), I have unplugged the harness from the T-case and jumped the wires and still nothing. So I think the switch in the case is not bad. Seems there is no power going to the switch in the T-case. Anybody have an idea what to try next?? Thanks for any help.

I saw a post once about the same thing. One member suggested checking the grounds; the frame, body, and engine all must be grounded to the battery. Just my $.02 /forums/images/icons/wink.gif

Sometimes there are power take off plugs that stick into the fusebox for different options. Mine has some of these. The power source could come from one. Maybe take a look and see if they are all plugged in.

Its a 208 T-case. I think I will check the grounds and maybe have a closer look at the wires going to the fuse box. Thanks for the input. hopefully something will work

I'm trying to remember what mine looks like so bear with me.. and my new allergy medication is making me a little loose in the head.

Doesn't the power come from under the dash and then go under the insulator to the shift lever? And then from the shift lever go down to the transfer case?

I'm not even sure if mine goes anywhere but the lever now that I think about it..

But anyway maybe pull the cover off the shift lever and have a look?
