you gotta love walking around and checking out all the planes up close. It's getting close to that time of year again--for the Van Nuys airshow. The runway there is across the street from our shop. So we get to watch them all come in and leave. It used to be alot better when they'd do laps around the valley before they landed but then the dumbass homeowners complained of the noise and now they just come straight in--well for the most part:wink1:. It's still fun too watch though.

I can't believe that the crews didn't install the intake covers on the F-18's or the EA-6B, especially since there were no roped-off areas around the aircraft. Those engines ain't cheap... and the amount of straight-up TRASH you find in/on an aircraft after an airshow is unfreakinbelievable.

    Nice pics!

Ahhh, the joys of an airshow. We used to get two shows a year here, but when they shut down Williams AFB, it turned into one at Luke AFB, then it turned into one every other year at Luke. I am hoping to make the one at Nellis one of these years.
Great pics!! Thanks for posting them!!

Yea, as I walked down that isle of planes, I was hoping. There has been a B-17 there in years past, but not this year.:(

I had to lead the jets with my camera from way out.....and then snap the pic when they were at show center. It worked out pretty well.:D
