    How do the Secondary butterflies on top of the carb open. Is it vacuum or mechanial linkage. With the engine Off I pressed the gas pedal to the floor and they do not open.

    the actual action of air being sucked through the secondaries at the higher rpm is usually what trips them open, they arent held shut by much pressure and that pressure(loaded spring up underneath on the shaft on pass side) is adjustable with the lockscrew up underneath and with the flat blade screw set into the shaft end begind the link on shaft end
