ok i am working on a deal where a guy is going to give me for free and old 69 chevy truck. its been sitting in a barn, and it ran fine before it was parked.
what should i do to get it running. i can think ok changing the batt, change the oil, brake fluid, tranny fluid.
fill up the tires w/ air
    what else should i do.
this is jsut to get it runnign. then i got some plans!!!

Empty the gas tank and put in new stuff. Also take a spare fuel filter with you - it'll probably clog within a few minutes of firing it up. Also check/replace the brakes before moving it - a friend of mine got a sharp 63 Biscayne out of a barn a few years ago, and didn't check the brakes - he ended up with his car sitting in a different barn at the first sharp curve[IMG]

If the shoe fits, get another one just like it

OH!! You're going to have fun with POINTS IGNITION that's been sitting a while.

Get your ignition file and feeler gauge out because you're going to need them. Might consider a tune up at the same time.
