Hi I have a 1987 GMC Jimmy and I removed the stock AM/FM cassette deck and I can't figure out what two of the wires are. There are a brown and a orange wire, not in the harness but that into go the old deck, I would like to know what they are. If you can help me send me an e-mail at schlechto@yahoo.com

I have a 86 and I now for sure the brown wire is for the running lights. You now when you turn on the headlights. And I am not sure but I think the orange is constant power for the clock or to remember the presets.. Hope this helps...Dan

Yep, Like when you turn your headlights on all the dash lights come on. That is what the brown wire is for. I made the mistake a while back and thought it was the ground. Every time I turned the lights on I blew the fuse.. Live and learn........LOL
