    I am working with the person who bought my truck to get it shipped to him. He needs to know how much my truck weighs. I'm guessing somewhere around 5,000 pounds, but wanted to know if anyone had a better idea?
    Its a '79 K20 longbed. 14BFF rear, 10 bolt front, 350, TH400, NP203 with 40" gumbo mudders.
    Thanks in advance!

    Just take it to the scales. Might cost $5 at the most to get it weighed

    i'd say your pretty accurate maybe
    my 89 k5 with 1 ton axles (heavy) 37 inch swampers, hummer rims (again heavy) and no top weighed like 5000, well it weighed 5300 with me (230) and a few things in it. Anyway that gives you an idea

    Thanks for the replies. I figured 5K was close. If he needs a more accurate weight, I'll just go buy a load of gravel and have them weigh it there.

    I bet you're closer to the 5500 range, just to give you an idea;

    My 80 K10 swb,454,TH400,NP205,D60,14 bolt & 44's = 6200lbs. /forums/images/graemlins/yikes.gif

    Thanks. I'll find out how close it has to be, and if it needs to be fairly close I'll go get it weighed.

    Just go to the nearest truck stop if there are any around you, they usually have scales there, costs like $5-6. and it gets an accurate weight.

    My '86 (K10 longbed with stats below) and a winch/bumper weighed in at 6000 at the scales, and thats empty (only me in it) with aluminum rims and 35" radial tires.
