Question for carburetor buffs

    I was wondering which carburetor came stock on the 85 k5 with the 305?

    Well, I would say it was a Rochester Quadrajet. They used a few slightley different modles over the years. All verry similar though. Its definentoly a Quadrajet.

    i got a sneeking suspecion that that carb might be computer controled, but i could be wrong /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif.

    it came with a quadrajunk but why in the h3ll would you want to put another on look at it this way it was taken off for a reason

    Depends on destination apparently on what it got. Could be one of three variants of the best all-around carb ever built, oops, I mean Quadrajet.

    Yeah, can't understand why a 15 year old carb might run bad if its never been rebuilt. Must be a POS design, GM only used it for 25 years straight.
