christmas is coming and i'm gonna be extra good this year and buy myself a kayline fastrack for the jimmy, 'aint i sweet? anyway i need to start poking around to find where i can get the best deal, so i need some input from anyone who has purchased one recently, like where you got it from, was it a special order, how much did it $$ w/ shipping, etc. i e-mailed kayline and asked about a three-window fastrack design and am waiting for a reply. it's gonna be black w/ full tinted windows, that all i know so far....
    thanks!

I think there are a couple of good Distributors around. Check the Kayline Review on the main page and click on the Distributors link. There should be places like Turner4x4, Offroaddesign, etc. I would also check with Moose, he has a new business and I think he is carrying Kayline.

What do you dislike about the 5 window design?. Believe me, if you get the 5 window with tint you will never notice the rear 1/4 windows. They actually help alot on the trail and on the street for visibility. Check out my article again and email me neilmarietta@toast.net if you have any questions or would like some more pictures.

When I talked to the president of Kayline, he said you can get the Fastrac design without the rear corner windows but like Mudzer said, you will have some blind spots. There's another review on the off-road.com/chevy page.

I prefer the 3 window design. Its a personal preference thing. The hardtop is a 3 window design so I am well used to the blind spots anyways.[IMG]

5 window design is OK, but with the side and rear windows out, doesn't it create alot of drag and eventually wear out the seams?? Just a thought.

I have the regular Kayline top and I am very pleased with it. I havn't heard much about the fast trac tops - I just liked the design and look of the original. I purchased mine from a place in Alabama. They are listed on Kayline's site. I live in Raleigh, NC and with shipping included, mine was right at $400.

$507 I don't think this includes shipping. Also most places seem to have a several week wait for black tops.
