...my buddy has a 91 K-5 with power window in the tailgate, where do you get the motor for these windows, he can't find one anywhere in these parts. Also it might not be the motor this is the problem. window rolls down but not up, you can hear the motor while it goes down but no motor noise when trying to put it up. Thanks jesse

Scope out two blue wires going to behind the latch on the driver's side. Its a lock out switch that prevents the glass from going up when the gate is open. They always malfunction and prevent the window from going up. Just simply bypass that switch and it should roll up. Check to see if the wires going to the gate are all right too, along with your switch. Orange is a constant hot for the switch that is key operated on the back, brownish tan is for down and blue is for up.

Suburbans, wagons, and Blazer all use the same motor. Your GM dealer may still have access to them.

GM's switches in these things suck. Mine is intermittent at best. If you need new parts try LMCtruck.com

Could also test your motor too. Just hook it up to a battery and see what happens. You'll probably have to have in the tailgate to ensure it has ground.
