Question on Hubs...

    OK... i went to get hubs... but i still have the full time, not converted... np203 can I add hubs w/o doing the part time swap yet???
    Can hubs be run w/o the part time kkit?

    yes you can add them
    no it isnt a good idea
    with hubs unlocked and TC not in lock you will not move
    but if you have hubs and are going to swap in a 205 and feel like stuffin them in go for it

    But what if I put the t-case in lock... and unlock the hubs?

    Is that bad to do?
    Any harm done?

    Your truck should be able to move with the hubs unlocked and your tcase in hi-loc. This is what I have read here a couple of times in other posts.

    My Chevy isn't broken, its just out of gas.

    you wont be doing that much with just the hub conversion, the drivshaft still needs to spin because it has to be in hi-loc so there is still wear and tear on those splines, as well as the added rotational weight of the front driveshaft

    beligerence doesn't justify intelligence.

    Yes you can still drive with it in Hi Lock or Lo Lock with the hubs unlocked. I did it for a while.

    is it going to hurt anything? I dont like the front end hopping as i turn... really sucks...
