I have some of their Reference series. They came with bass blockers already installed so you can run them loud without distortion...but they put out less bass than a stock speeker. The silk tweeters sound real good too.

It's been a while since I've heard any, but the last time I recall the sounded pretty "bright" on the high end. Sort of reminded me of the old MB Quarts that everyone raved about, but I didn't particularly care for.

Some folks really like that intense "sizzly" high end....but my ears can't take it. In all seriousness, it may have to do with your hearing. As people start to lose their hearing, it happens to the high frequencies first. Maybe a brighter speaker helps make the sound seem more "balanced"......

A listening test is all it should take.....normally the store listening rooms are lousy. But for evaluating tweeters...it's probably more valid than usual. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
