if somebody that had children told you that their truck was equally as important to them as one of their children what would you tell them? (in essence it quite literally was one of their children?)

If it was a friend I'd hit him upside the head and question his intelligence. If it was a casual acquaintance I'd become more casual and less acquainted.

My kids and wife are first, my extended family is second, my friends are third and and I am fourth at least (Blazer is down the list even if I love it).

I'd start rumors about them. [IMG]

I'd do the same actually, give them a good thwack and see if they want to revise the answer.

If it were someone I didn't really know, I'd say, "Well...nice talking to ya *rolls eyes*".

Boy, that is sad. No wonder why so many people have to go into therapy as adults. Too many kids getting the short end of the stick. Or worse. *sigh*[IMG]

Yup........I'd tell him he was an idiot and then terminate the friendship/relationship in a heartbeat. Wouldn't be the first time I've a ditched a buddy that had a "stupid attack".....

In a case like this you should say something. People like that should be forced to live in Afghanistan for a month- I guarantee their priorities would straighten out when they got back, IF they got back!!!

Just thought I'd speak my mind for once[IMG]........

I'd simply say - "you can always get another truck..." - Then look them straight in the eye and tell them that they'd better get their priorities straight. They'll only have one FAMILY! Then I'd probably walk away.

<font color=purple> I know I just posted, but this pisses me off something feirce ! You can always replace a vehicle .......... Another thing that ticks me off is when you hear about an accident and somebody asks if the car or truck or whatever is o.k. and never thinks about the occupants first ......... These types of people have no comprehension of love....... I like my Blazer.... I LOVE my family !!!!!!!!!

thanks guys I sent the link to this post to this [/i]friend... I simply told him his priorities were screwed up, and he took it pretty harshly...

I'm hoping his wife smacked him on the side of the head, but lets just say that when this statement was made last night I think I lost all respect for him...

on of the sadest, most pathetic things I've ever heard in my life.

This is obviously one sick individual!!!!! They really need to get their priorities(sp) straight and real quick. Borrow Muddin's headers...and slap em around a few times. I'm sure she won't mind

no we discussed it long enough I think he was quite serious... guy kept trying to explain it to me, but obviously I didn't agree.

reason I posted this and sent him the link was to let him know I wasn't alone in my opinion.

Family first.... no question about it..... there's something wrong with someone who puts equal value on a truck compared to his family....
