The other day while driving my 4 wheel drive light came on in the Jimmy. Pulled over shifted from 2 to 4 hi and then back, light went off. Went to start it and the light went on again. Tried the same thing, shifting and did not work this time, any suggestions? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Sounds like your button switch located under the shifter floor cover is either shorted from rubbing against the body, or has come loose and gone out of adjustment. Pull the cover (4 torxs screws) and check it. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

My wire was crushed under the floor shitfer plate from the factory. There is a little channel for the wire to run to the tranfer case to the dash. They missed the channel. After 12 years is finally crushed completely and shorted out. Fixed now!! Could have been a bad Monday or a party Friday with that job /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
