    come night, when im suppose to be sleeping, or wanna sleep, i just cant get to sleep. It takes a looong time to get to sleep. What are some things i can try to get asleep faster? Usually i find myself thinking about future projects and where my current project is going and that keeps me up for a long time. Buuut, what can i do to get to sleep faster? thanks for the replies

    lots of "sleep aids"....

    Lets see..insomnia??..no problem!..just take some:

    "Lunesta"
    "Ambiem"
    or any of 20 other prescription drugs..
    Smoke weed--a bowl at night helps you sleep tight....
    Drink Beer,whiskey,etc..(Southern Comfort put ME to sleep rather quickly!:D )
    Watch TV
    Surf the web..and wake up drooling on the keyboard!
    Give wife/girfriend the "high hard one"..orgasm is always followed by immediate sleep..(but dont forget to thank her before your eyes shut!)..:wink1:
    Drink Warm Milk..breast milk is especially effective..:p:
    Listen to a soothing CD...
    Cuddle up with a pet...
    Stay up for 3 nights..you'll sleep!..

    Some claim Seratonin or other herbal remedies work too..I used to take Nyquil to help me sleep,but its not much more than booze,and booze is cheaper!..

    I'm up at all hours of the night too...my mother stays up late,until 2-3 am every F'n day..sews on her industrial sewing machine,or just gags and coughs all night..I usually cant sleep until long after she's been asleep,I dont go to bed until 5 am sometimes!..then I end up staying in bed until 11 am or noon..bad habit to get into,and harder to break than addiction!..its doing wonders for my attitude,job search,and life in general..:doah: :mad:

    It's available at WalMart for a couple bucks.

    Also known as bendryl for thoe of you with kids. That stuff works great. It is cheaper as generic "allergy relief" than "sleep aid".

    Also, the stuff I mentioned is the "PM" part of Tylenol PM. I don't need the Tylenol, so I just take the go-to-sleep stuff.

    Im the same way, i think about everything i am going to do or what im gonna do the next day. Pretty much if i go to bed before 4am ill be up till 4am, it sucks.

    I agree with diesel4me, i usually wake up at 12ish or later. Friggin rediculous. Its almost summer and i need to get a job and when i do wake up im not up and running till 3.

    I tried melatonin, it worked at first, started needing to take more pills and now im to the point where it just gives me a weird buzz/headache. Only thing that works is drinking beer or liquor. i was asleep last night within seconds after some beer pong in my shed with icehouse:D

    i have the same problme alot, takes sometimes hours to get to sleep and the harder you work all day the worse it is

    ppl who dont have this problme cant understand it or have any idea what it is like

    benadryl is garbage it will work two nights in a row- at best- if you are lucky

    alot more i could say but am not gonna

    one thing thta seems to help usually is by making the room really dark and running a fan or some other constant noise, to help keep my brain from running nonstop without being interfered

    hard to explain..
