    i might be buying one on saturday. it has a 5.7 in it. i am trying to find engine specs on it, buit having trouble. does anyone know if it has the earlier type fuel injection?

    85 should be q jet carb
    Fuel injection didn't come out until late 87

    Mine is an 85 and it had a Quadra-bog on it from the factory with no ESC.

    so do you think i should look for a newer model, get a new engine for it, or upgrade to fuel injection?

    Why would you want FI when a carb works fine?

    carb works fine? not in my experiences. 84 with quadrajet I am buying a 90 1500 GMC

    TBI swap isn't that difficult, the hardest/most costly part is acquiring the TBI parts to do it with.

    You can do a search on here, I'm sure there are plenty of "TBI swap" posts to keep you reading for awhile /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
