I took all both bearing races and can not get the differential to fall out. Do I pry it out? Am I missing
something? It seems that the bearings are holding it back from sliding out.

Please, need quick help and much appreciated!

i pulled the axles out. It seems like the edges of the bearings are getting caught in that part with holes in it(the one the bearing race pins go into) I am afraid if I pry i will break something. Its getting dark and I would like to pull it before I finish for the evening!

any ideas. should I push the axles in and see if I can get it to release?

ok, I figured it out(yep the adjusting rings) needed to be turned. I did not know they turned. Now I do. I guess that is why we try these things on our own instead of paying someone else.

    Thanks for the help.

    Right on dude. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

This is exactly the kinda stuff I like to hear about. Not bein afraid to dive into to a project even if ya have no idea whats involved. Thats the way I learned to do pretty much everything as far as trucks and stuff go. Best way to learn I think.

On a side note- I've probably taken the carrier out of 10+ different 14b's, the last time I did it, I couldn't get the carrier out either...I scratched my head, pushed, pryed, pulled, hammered....Wouldn't move. Then I rested my hands on the hub, and felt the bolts that still held the axle shafts in..
/forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif duh. I looked around to see if anyone noticed, I wasn't that lucky. Gokartergo noticed...lol. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
