Quick Question About Hub

    Is this an internal hub axle?

    Just checking before I buy 8-lug outers....

    Its not the stock axle to the '68 Sub, just wanted to check!!

    That's a stock type hub for a 1/2 ton '68.

    But this one has disc brakes.....thought stock were drums.

    Well, whether it has disc or drum, the hub that we can see in the picture is the same on either.

    Internal.

    All 1/2 tons were internal. 3/4 tons up to '76 were external. '77 on up 3/4 tons were internal as well.

    1971 was the first year for disk brakes.......so yes the stock '68 axle would've had drums. :D

    I'll be pulling it down w/ the 8-lug swap....so I'll have a better idea of what disc front was swapped in.

    By the way, your Sub was one of the ones to get me wanting to swap mine over to 4wd! :D
