About how many degrees does a shackle flop raise the pinion?

    I have 8" springs, 56". Thanks!

    i would estimate 6-8*

in a blazer, the shackle FLIP is usually pretty close to correct driveline angles if using a rear CV shaft. in a pickup, you may have to rotate the axle back down to get a proper driveline angle.

it is impossible to say for sure, it depends on whether you have 52 or 56" springs, different lift spring height, and what shackle FLIP you choose will vary the angle.

you could pull out a calculator and a tape measure to come up with a close estimate.

I concur, only have 4 inch lift, but pinion came from nearly pointing straight ahead, to being aimed at transfercase, I run a CV now. /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif
