What model Racors are you guys running? I saw U2slow is running a 445R from a post long ago. what micron size (2 - 10 - 30) did you select? Do racors need a secondary filter or do they stand alone? I think I read they work better on the suction side but will the low psi of the lift pump really affect their performance? And finally wheres the cheapest place to get them online?

    thanks in advance. Dave

I run the Racor R26S 2 micron as a primary, then a big secondary canister filter. The Racor I run has the plastic resevoir with petcock on the bottom that is separate from the element.

That may be backwards as far as primary and secondary go, but I installed it exactly the same way it was on the donor truck I had when I swapped the 6.2 in.

Anyways, it seems to work just fine like that.

If you find a cheap place for Racor stuff let me know...they're spendy!!

Racor makes a cleanable filter, if that helps anyone.

Just wondering though, why cant we just use a modified oil filter ? (like the ones used in Mecedes diesels?) they are only like 15-20 bucks.
