So I go looking to get my g/d a new tricycle for her birthday, and see a nice looking Radio Flyer, and think to myself...what a classic, I think I'll get one of these....check the box...Dam things made in China...not real surprised. So I look around a little more and they all are. Go down the aisle a little, and check out the Big Wheel's.....hmmm made in USA....sold.
I liked the thought of keeping it lower profile too, so she doesn't have as much of a chance of tipping over on the concrete.

I wish more people paid attention to the country of origin on things they buy. No big deal on a $2 item but I'll never be able to buy a car made offshore.

I don't think Italy is a huge threat to our economy, so no need to feel guilty.

I know China is a threat to our economy. Can you explain to me how China is good for our economy?

Your first sentence makes no sense in regards to the stated question.

However, I agree with the second. With the Chi-Comms having missiles pointed at our Western coastline, I would say that's a threat  !
Rest assured that we have boomer's parked off their coast 'just in case' :eek1: .

It's funny, I asked you a direct question and you reply with an empty response followed by a question.
Now in my communications and discourse classes I learned that kind of reply/response indicates one is trying to hide the fact they don't know much aboot what they're discussing/debating and trying to shift the discussion/debate onto the other person by asking a question hoping they won't have to eventually answer original said question   .

    But I'll answer yours:
Besides the cheap labor in making many of our products, China has allowed at least one of our auto manufacturers (GM) to begin building, as well as selling their products there.

Also, they finance a huge, huge portion of our debt.

Now remember, this is purely from an economics perspective only, period. Politics etc, are different topic all together.

Actually found one for 60, but I just couldn't stand the sight of another American classic made in chinawanese.

And I definitely think they affect our economy, 1/3 of the products that used to be made in my dept. are now made in China.
Think about that next time you take drugs.

And what was your direct question?

    Here it is...

You asked if I think China is a threat to our economy, in which my answer directly indicated that I do believe they are a threat. I answered your direct question with a direct answer. Had you asked for my opinion why I think that way, perhaps you would have gotten a more detailed answer as you expected. Maybe you need to take some more of those fancy-pants classes and learn how to ask the correct questions to recieve the answers you desire.

You wanna know what I think is funny? I think it's funny how you try to make me look like a dumb****, boasting about your know-it-all classes that apparently have given you some type of great divine knowledge, when you're the one who doesn't even know how to ask a question to obtain the information you seek.

I have no more use for you. This dumba$$ uneducated ****tard is going to look for the "Ignore User" feature... although someone as ignorant as myself will likely never find it.
