Got a run to go on saturday and the JB weld (prev. owner /forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif) broke on the side tank of my rad. It's got a very small hole in it and leaks out hard when hot. So I got some marine/high temp sealer and put that on last night. Still leaks today. I'm a bit po'd...so what are my options? Can this be fixed or am I fawked into buying a radiator that i cant afford?

If its just a hole or crack in the tank you can just solder it or take it to a shop and they should be able to do it.

$40 for a shop to do it and I have to pull the damn thing. That's outta the question right now. Can I solder it myself and leave it in the truck?

If you can see the leak you can do it with it in the truck. I still say take Dans /forums/images/graemlins/1zhelp.gif

I'd say it's worth a shot, just be careful if the leak is near the tranny cooler lines...

Whats all this crap about "just take Dan's"??? He's welcome to it... just that if he takes it, I paid something like $130 for that 4 core rad. from radiator.com! I'm sure we can work something out...

I am going to his house tonight to get that tank soldered up for him. I'm sure we can get it taken care of. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

i saw him at billy bobs twice. If you see him at a smaller more rowdy venue, I've heard he'll sing his non-pc songs...they're funny as hell.

I have you tried running some kind of stop leak(ie Alumaseal) in it? Or is the hole too big?
