Just started raining nicely in Sherman, TX (I'm here working with clients all week). So little rain in L.A. that any is pretty exciting. Think I'll go drive around in it just for fun - nothing crazy, just enjoying real weather, which is not likely to occur in L.A. any time soon. :woot:

    That is all.

Will be stopping in Allen tomorrow on the way to San Antonio. There's shopping to do at the outlet mall...

If you've never been down I-35 to San Antonio, may I suggest the shops at Round Rock and also the Prime Outlets just south of San Marcos. If you go to San Antonio, there is tons of shopping to do as well. Be dressed for ugly weather tomorrow. BTW, if you do go to SA, do NOT drive into water on the roads in depressions. SA is full of low spots and you'll get in trouble. Welcome to Texas! Be safe, and enjoy!

I do not know what cuisine you like, but there is plenty to chose, from good ole American Steak to Mexican to excellent German foods.

    Take care,

    Manny

Central Texas (McLennan County) was flooding and still is in places. Making my grass look purty.

Yep, saw those outlets on the way down. They were calling to me...

Was a beautiful drive to SA, BTW. Driving back to Dallas Wednesday night, but prolly will be too late to shop.

Ate at Possisito's (misspelled, but it's at the 10 and Wurzbach at the Colonade). Pretty good Mexican food. Then at some local Italian place off Camp Bullis, and tomorrow night is a dinner meeting at Dominion. Won't make it to the riverwalk this trip.

Thanks for the info. Lovin being in Texas.:thumb:

    Pappasito's cantina?

Glad you're enjoying the rain.. we usually get a lot this time of year, and then too often it's too dry the rest of the summer. Go figure. It wasn't always like that, but seems to be the trend for some time now. At least it's lush and green for now.

If I'd have known you were coming, I would have bought the beer! :thumb:

Be careful driving back Wed. night, I think they said there may be some chances of scattered t-storms again.

BTW, sent a PM with contact info in the event you have any car trouble in the area. I'll be on the second half of my 48 hrs. off, and don't think I have any Honey-do's hanging over me... so I should be home if you have any troubles. I'm not too far southwest of the area you're in.

Yea, Pappasitos... that's it. I'm at the Hyatt Place so it's right up the street. Pretty nice suite BTW.

Got your PM. Thanks so much (again). Your number's in my cell. If I'd known you were here... I would've loved to have met you and family in person. I will make sure to let you know next time I'm out here - I think I will need to make another trip before the year's out.

Looked like maybe a change in the weather all day today. Then the sun came out. We'll see about tomorrow. If it's bad, I'll get out of here earlier than 8.

Sounds good. I have not seen what the weather is supposed to do, but it looks like it will stay somewhat clear. I've been too busy to catch the news. Maybe a stray shower out there somewhere, but it can change fast here.

Feel free to give a shout out next time you're in the area. Have a safe trip back.
