I looked out the window and seen a nieghbor raking leaves. I also seen the tree's have only dropped about half thier leaves. I personally do not rake up the leaves. They provide insulation from the snow, and help the grass grow next spring. So it makes no sense to me too rake the leaves.

I haven't raked my own leaves for many years. But I did rake the leaves at this ladies house I work at this weekend.

    Whats with all the lawn questions today... /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif /forums/images/graemlins/whistling.gif /forums/images/graemlins/whistling.gif .....

Anyways....If the leaves fall early in the fall while the grass is trying to grow thicker and store up nutrients for winter they can potentially hinder that because of lack of sufficient sunlight. Just something to think about but its probably cold enough where you are..

I hate raking leaves... But I feel good after I do it, actually, it's one of the few things I can do in this house and feel good and complete about afterwards... /forums/images/graemlins/screwy.gif

    Evergreen trees only
Stay away from pines though, end up raking more crap up then leaves.
