Why do you want to spend all that money?? I spent 5 bucks at a junkyard, got all factory parts, cut, welded, and made my own ram air that LOOKS factory, I turn GM mechanics heads now. I'll post up pics of mine soon, It made a huge difference when coupled up with my k/n filter.

My girlfriend's Tahoe has one of the K&N airraid systems..
It makes a world of difference... it's worth every penny and at least if you buy it.. you have the warranty from K & N.
That thing sucks in an insane amount of air.. and you can feel the power...

I haven't failed, I've found 10,000 ways that don't work. www.rocko.rockcrawler.com

Please do post some pics. I'm thinking of doing the same. Getting an air cleaner from the boneyard, cutting it, and doing the ram air to the front grill. Not really in need of a snorkel that goes up to the windshield. But I am open to suggestions.

just bought one and installed it. went on pretty easy. felt little different seems like i'm getting better gas. could have done what everyone else is stating and cut a hole in the original and extend a hose to the front from there. would be the same. equipment is kind of flimsy fiberglass box and air duct hose. if you can doit it yourself you'd be better off. but it looks nice. just my two cents.
