This kid that goes to my school just got a dodge ram 1500 off-road and he clames it has a dana 60 up front and a dana 70 in the rear. i do not think that is true but i am not shure and the kid is really dumb and was off roading at 15 mph and i told him to slow down because he would break stuff. but he is to dumb and says he knows how to off-road. And then this kid made me really mad when he started to make fun of k5s.

He's full of it! I belive those come with D44 fronts, And Chrysler 9 1/4 or D60 rears. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong[IMG]. But I am sure they don't have 60 fronts and 70 rears!

Not a stock 1500. Maybe a 3500. I am no expert, but I'm pretty sure it's safe to say he is A.)lying B.) Somebody "told" him it was something else and he believed it, or C.) Truelly doesn't know what he is talking about

Yeah, you have to go the 3500 route to get the big axles I believe. Not sure on the 2500s. My dad has a 2wd 1 Ton and its got at least a dana 60 in back, not sure but its big!

I have a 2000 Dodge Ram 4x4 and it has a Dana 44 front and Corporate 9 1/4 rear. You do need to jump up to a 3500 to get a Dana 60 front. Dana 70's in 2500 is a possibility. Neither came in a 1500. Off Road package just adds larger rims/tires, sits about 2 inches higher and puts a limited slip in the rear of a normal 1500 4x4.
