I am thinking about replacing my headers with factory style exhaust manifolds (I am not happy with the inexpensive Hedman's that I recently installed). Does anyone know if the rams horn style manifolds used on Corvettes and similar to some of the earlier model trucks will fit on a 78 Blazer. Since they exit in the center I am concerned about crossmember clearance. I don't have a set to test fit, but it looks like they might fit.

Should work fine but the only down side is the plug wire routing. Still better than the headers. Jegs and summit also sell a set of "Block hugger" style headers that you may want to look at. They locate the exhaust flang in about the same location as the rams horns and would be cheaper than buying new rams (getting rare in the junk yards) and flow better. Jeg I know sells then already ceramic coated for a bit more.

You can buy new 2 1/2" rams horns through GM Performance parts. Pace sells them for about $70 each.

What is Pace? And how do you get ahold of them? Thanks.

Jim Pace Pontiac in Ohio. They sell GM parts at a discount. http://www.paceparts.com or 800.748.3791

The part # for the manifold that you want (works on both sides) is 3797901. This manifold was designed for a '63 Corvette. There is a cast on generator boss that you may have to cut off, but cast iron cuts like butter with a hack saw.
