Will Ranchos 9012 shocks fit a 88 Jimmy with out mods to the shock towers. I have a four inch lift
I don't have time to lengthen the towers yet, working 70 to 80 hours a week but I have a day off today and just have to buy my Baby something for being so good and not bitching at me for being gone all day and not spending more time with her.

No, the front and rear shock locations will have to be modified for the longer shocks. The front mounts can be replaced with Ford shock towers from a 1980 F250. These are much taller and can be easily bolted on. The rear is more difficult. You have to make a crossmember that goes between the frame and weld new shock mounts on the axle. If you angle the shocks to point towards the middle, the shocks will fit. Good luck.

I use 9012s on my Sub...but it's lifted 12"!! The fronts fit fine, but the rears I had to lower the upper mount about 4" so that the shock would have full travel.

I just paid $115/pair for my last two 9012s.
