Found out they are making their RS5000 series shocks longer than the famous #5012.

They are making a #5000 shock that is 36" long when extended out. /forums/images/icons/shocked.gif This makes it 3" longer than the previous 'longest shock' they make.

Anybody figure a way to fit or use some even longer shocks to their trucks? /forums/images/icons/grin.gif

Does anyone make those tall shock hoops for Chevys like you see on early Broncos and Jeeps?

I know Rancho also makes/sells some shock hoops that can hold up to three shocks.

Off Road Unlimited can make you whatever brackets you want.

Don't know of anybody else who have some taller brackets on the shelf right off the bat.

I would expect to have something like this to be custom made.

How much travel? If it's over 13", I need a set for the back of my rig.

Haven't they been making that shock all along? Isn't it just the same as the 9012 except it is the 5000 series shock?(with 12" of travel)

I've got 5012s on all 4 corners and they have over 12" of travel (12" max of usable travel since you don't want to hit the ends). I hope these have more travel.

If you mount them at an angle, they are perfect. You just can't mount them straight up. Also, mounting at an angle lengthens their effective travel...

Is that why my shock mounts are cracked? /forums/images/icons/wink.gif Perhaps I should replace the stock shock mounts and 22 & 24" shocks I'm running...

Lol, yeah frank is one of those dogs that will come in from outside, walk over to you so you can scratch his back for about 30 seconds, then he walks away and makes a bed for himself in a blanket that is 20' away from everyone else. That's just how he rolls. It's probably a good thing right about now. So far he seems to be handling things pretty well. He hasn't had to spend a day by himself in the backyard though, so we'll see.
