    Hey sled dog,

wife wants to know if she has quills like a porcypine or is she soft, almost looks that way. She loves that hedgehog and I am under orders to report every time you post a picture..

They are hard and sharp like a porcupine. She can hurt me. She doesn't often. After a long enough time I'm desensitized to it for the most part. Once in a while I grab her wrong and she stabs me pretty good. When she is calm she will put them down and you can pet her, she feels almost soft then. Like someone who has their hair geled down.

In PA you can't get them. She was given to me by someone who was also given her. The original owner was from some other state. They are illegal in PA. so shh :D

On a day to day basis she usually eats cat food. I found an exotic pet store that has a pre-ban Hedgehog(wouldn't sell it to me), and they got me this hedgehog specific food. It stinks and makes her poop a lot, but she seems to like it and her crap is a healthier color.

In the wild they eat bugs. Her favorite treat is meal worms. She smells one and starts looking for it, when she finds it she just jumps on it and eats it up.

what in the heck has the country come to when government people waste their time with exotic pet bans. Good grief. I can see stopping people from having a tiger or something, it can easily kill the neighbors, but banning hedgehog ownership is just a joke.

Speaking of exotic pet bans... it is now illegal in Madison Wisconsin to sell Sugar Gliders... Thankfully I live in Waterloo, so I'm not in the jurisdiction... but with 2 males, it's really hard to make babies. =)

I'll post some pictures of my dragons and gliders shortly.

Don't you watch the Simpsons? Within hours they would breed into a mass evil hoard destroying the bugs of Pennsylvania, thus ruining everything. Whatever, I have mine, I will own more in my lifetime, however I have to get them, I will.

same wheel I have for ruby

GRRR ruby broke 2 nails and they bled a bit. I let them go, they are scabby now. I am trying to hunt down a vet but in Eastern PA its proving hard. Oh well I'll watch a little longer then really start hunting.
