i plan on moving my radiator to the rear of the truck. this leaves me with a big open space the would be the right size for a winch inside the engine compartment. there for making it a little more theft proof and not killing my approach angle. can the winch take the heat in there? will it be damaged? it will be a while before i do this, im just throwing ideas around. thanks

No I don't think the heat under the hood would bother it at all. The heat does'nt bother a starter, and it's alot closer than the winch will be.

Just route and tie down the cable's good, so they don't end up being, wanna be fan belt's. /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif
