Anyone know where i can buy some heavy duty shackels? Like 20,000lb's or greater. Thanks. I heard shackels are good for tying up to somehting when somone is stuck and you dont have hooks.

I thought the same thing for a couple of minutes Steph...I am pretty sure he is asking for a source for Clevis shackles...recovery stuff.[IMG]

I found a farm supply place that sells those screw pin Clevis shackles near here. They have a couple of different types. The high carbon steel ones with the rating stamped on them are the best. 8 1/2 ton clevis shackles were under 10 bucks each.
Let me find a link to the place, I know they sell online and also in the US...

The place I was thinking of only sells in Canada...so shipping would be stupid. There must be quite a few hardware places that carry them!

RedDwarf hit it on the head.... tractor supply. There's a John Deere place here and they sell them for cheap (like $10 bucks). You don't have to deal with shipping either and can pick them up and look at them before purchase....
