    RANT ON...

Is there a need to have the black CK5.COM block spread over the right hand bottom corner of any pic we try to post that is hosted by CK5???? Why can't it be smaller or a see-through watermark ??? It ruins some of the best pictures,,,,

OK,, rant off,,go back to what you were doing,,,,,:haha:

I do have to agree too though, when i first saw this, i didn't like it either, i agree that it is too big, and bold, transparent would be better IMO.

i don't load up any photos in the gallery anymore due to this, i just load them as an attachment when posting up pics.

Just resize the pic and add a big black bar to the bottom of each of the size of the watermark

Or, you know, pay $7 a month for some webhosting

I am ready pay $XX.XX per year to be a member here. I should not have to host my pictures somewhere else. I do not think that it is unfair to ask CK5 to make their little bar of death a little smaller or even transparent.

I am NOT an expert web user and just posting pics using CK5 has been an exercise in frustration. I can now do it with relative ease, and I suppose I will have to change how I do things again... I hate change.

I remembre that Steve asked everyones opinion about this before he implemented it. The two choices were:

    1. Have the watermark and you can post pics hosted here on other websites.
    2. No watermark, but the pics could only be posted in the CK5 forums

I think it should be left unless everyone wants to go with choice #2. Having the pics posted all over the internet, but hosted here can eat bandwidth fast and the watermark at least gets the CK5 name out there.

the water mark is fine, as long as it don't ruin the pictures
a clear one would be better

Yeah it's so unfair not to get free advertising to balance the doubling of bandwidth when posting pictures

If you are saying that the current CK5.com black block of death is a 'watermark'... well that is some nasty ass darkwater indeed.

If in fact the mark on the bottom of the pics was a watermark, meaning that it is semitransparent then I would be all for it. But in its current form it is an INK STAMP, not a WATERMARK.
