    that tranny has been talked about alot. if you do a search you could prolly find what you want to know. from what iv heard its a great piece of gear

    mj's classic response is that if you want a high perf 700R4, you should take the one you have to a shop, give them a list of high perf parts you want, and have them rebuild it for you. According to him, you can get it built for less that a Raptor costs. Of course, this depends on the shop you go to. I know my local shop, that does decent work, quoted me $1k+ on a rebuild of my 700R4 using *factory* spec parts... not the good stuff, just the lame old factory stuff. Of course, mj will say you can have a better one than a Raptor for $100. Guess he lives near really good/cheap tranny shops. For those of us that don't, the Raptor works.
