Rattles in the Tailgate (Cheap Fix)

    Here is a cheap fix for worn seals around the tailgate. Cut a small split about an inch from end of seal (where the seal is hollow) and insert a piece of 3/8" vacuum hose into the seal. Slide the hose through the seal until the entire length filled. Do this on top, bottom and both sides. I did this in my 89 Jimmy, no more wet carpet in the back on rainy days, no more dust, no more exhaust fumes in the cab, no more rattles and it is a hell of a lot cheaper than buying a new seal!
