    RCA\'s with speaker wires?

Ok, I have finally come up with a solution to my dilemma, I just don't know about interference. Will speaker wires interfere with RCA cables if they are ran parellel to each other? I know power wires will but i don't know if speakers will. Thanks - Doug

Actually if you have great quality RCA's even power wires will not interfere. I personally run 12 gauge phoenix gold speaker wires and stinger hi quality RCA's without any problems.

If it aint a Chevy don't raise it up!

If your RCA cables are shielded, which most quality cables are, you won't have a problem. If you ever have to run a power wire near a speaker wire, have them cross at a 90 degree angle, and that should reduce or eliminate any interferance.

It really doesnt matters weather if wether or not you have good or cheap rcas. Motor noise that you get from running a power wire to close to an rca cable comes from RF signal being radiated by the power wire. Usually this is very rare, as a matter of fact 90% of the time the nois that you hear is coming from a ground problem. Either you have a componant that isnt grounded well, or it has bad grounds inside on the board. It can also come from there not being enough voltage for your source and it is trying to pull voltage from other componants. So the answer is, NOISE comes from all sorts of things. But not from running your speaker wires with your rca's.
