I asked the question about the 2000/2001 Tahoe as compaired to the 89/91 K5s. Boy did the question get (A LOT) of responses! You all are very devoted to the 69/91 K5s and you all have convinced me to stay with my 89K5. I guess theres no subsitute for the almighty K5. By the way, I called the dealer back and told him that I was going to keep my K5. He said I would regret it. Shame on him.....One more thing, he also said that the new engines in the Tahoes/Subs are much better than the older TBI 5.7s..............

That also is a matter of opinion. While it is true that they
put out more power. Just wait till something go's wrong with
one. And as for aftermarket mods. You better have a fat bank
acount. There is no question with an older k5 motor You can
have much more motor for far less money with widely available parts to boot.
