    Readers ride in Petersen\'s....

In the reader ride section of August Petersen's 2001, Page 14 there is a 79 Blazer... owned by Estephan Elhark. Minn, MN. Is this person a user here on CK5? That rig is awesome... Dana 60 front Dana 70 rear! I like the flames too... heck I like the whole truck! [IMG]

I think 15 inches of lift is too much period! It'd be really illegal here even though the lift laws aren't enforced, and you wouldn't be able to see anything!

I'll have to get that one... always interested in fellow MN offroader's rigs. No way in heck it is street legal here as our lift laws are bogus.... run anything more then 36's and you'll need to get brackets that meet spec on it to pass. Stupid lift laws.... if you go under my truck it is your own fault... I forget who said the quote or where they saw it, But isn't it "The bigger truck has right of way" LOL?

I once saw a bumper sticker that read, "When at a stop sign, the vehicle with the LARGEST TIRES has the right of way." Someone gave it to my friend with an '81 K10 and 38s on 1/2 ton axles. Guess they figured with dual 10 bolts it was a street rig only!

The bigger truck has the right of way quote was used by me in the whos in fla post in response to I think Lara about how scary New Symyrna (sp) is to drive in. It was in a description of me trying to drive around Zephyrhills, he who has the bigger truck ( or vehicle I dont remember exactly ) has the right of way and that was usually me.

It may have been used by someone else also but I know I said it a few months ago.

And 15 inches of lift isnt too much, the cherokee I was driving in Zephyrhills in that description had a total of 17 inches ( axle flip, 8 inches/ springs, 6 inches/ bodylift 3, inches ) and 40 inch mudders, really had enuff room for 44s but never got em. And it was lime green, hard to miss and harder to lose in a parking lot! [IMG]

As for the right of way thing... it's a bumper sticker that says "The truck with the biggest tires has the right of way" least that's the ones I have seen.... [IMG]
