    Early days...
I've an 85 Silverado, bought in Dec 00 from original owner.
So, My problem is, is that I've promised my little kids that I'd take them out 'Topless'....when the good weather hits (maybe).
What I'd like to know...is....Obviously, sincee it's now 2002 is the top gonna be struck to the rubber seals? will I rip off these seals? If I do manage to actually get the top off will I need to replace the rubber seal? Also on the inside lip of the top (As you sit on the rear seat, there is a nice brite chrome strip, does this strip stay attached to the top? or does it remove and run along ther sides when the tops off? Am I gonna be left with a bad lkooking paint finish if I remove the top? I mean along the top edge of thefender lips etc? I'm wondweing if it's really worth the effort? but I promised my kids icecream 'topless'

take the top off, its easy as hell. Those aluminum strips on each side come off seperate from the top. They do NOT go back on the truck w/o the top on.
The rubber seals might stick, they might not. It's easy to lift the top and look at them to see if they are sticking.

You will like it with the top off. It's a whole new animal with it off. Course the full convertible K5 is best, but your 1/2 topper will be good enough.
