Were all rear 10 bolts 30 spline? If not, what year did they go from 28 to 30 spline?

    Keep it simple!

Pretty sure they started popping up 20 spline in about 89 or so. The rest were 28.

Now, the General always did some funking stuff with switchover years, so there may be lingering 28's in later models.

I believe that the rear 10-bolts may have started getting the 30-spline shafts a year or two earlier, possibly as early as '87 but probably around '88 with the introduction of the new body style trucks.

As far as I know (I'm about 95% sure here) they both (front and rear) came out with 30 splines in 89 and not before that......
