Ok, all you drive line experts. What the h*ll is this? Eaton? If it´s an Eaton rear, is the bolt circle exactly the same as other "newer" 3/4 ton - 1 ton axles (such as Dana 60 & GM 14 bolt). Is it worth spending my $$ on these axles. I get this rear along with a Dana 44 front, both with 4.56 gears for a good price. Actually, I get both axles for half the price of what a single Dana 60 rear would cost me. They´re from a Surburban 70.

Yes, that is the old corporate axle, precursor to the current 14 bolt full floater. I believe that they were made by Eaton. They are a good strong axle, but gears and lockers are no longer available new. You should be able to find bearings if needed. Some people have reported that they find tons of them in junkyards, which would be the only source for gears. Some were fitted with Detroit Lockers, and those can be found in salvage yards also.

Yep that's and old school rear end My father-in-law has one in the back of his 3/4ton 724x4pick-up.
I would not get it just cuz of parts availability, slim pickins..............

Another thing. It has the number 3934635 and DG2 922 stamped into it. What about the shock mounts? They look way narrower than my 12 bolt currently sitting under my Blazer.

    Duno what the # mean???
But the shock mounts, I would relocate them if your gonna go with this rear! Cuz the further away from the spring pearch the less effective they are for doing thier job!
    Good Luck
