I bet shipping would kill ya. Axles weigh about 200lbs I think. I'd probably either have to build a box to ship it in or atleast get a skid. But if you're still interested, shoot me an e-mail at uglyjeep@hotmail.com

Is your SFA the Stage West kit? I had thought about doing that but then I found out they stopped making it. I have killed many brain cells in Mo-town. I have sone a lot of white water kayaking in the area.

Naw, I'm too cheap to buy the stagewest kit, it was discontinued anyway. I made my own setup that's very similar to the SW kit. I used a combo of 2 S-10 leaf packs and the same shackle mounting point as the SW kit.
It's hard not to kill brain cells up here.

Wow, I am impressed you fabed up your own rig. There should be plenty of trails to use your rig on near by. Have you be up around Coopers Rock park yet?

Well, I had a lot of help from my buddy but, other than that, it was all us. I don't have the front driveshaft in yet, waiting on the use of a bigger welder. I have been to Cooper's Rock. I actually went when I was 2wd without getting stuck once. I know there are better/harder trails around here, just don't know where they are. I can't stand this not having 4wd, hahaha.

The new custon length front drive shaft was something the SW kit needed too. What make/year front axle did you go with?

Re: Rear End for \'90 S-10 Blazer?

Well, I have the driveshaft. I'm just waiting on a welder to weld in a driveshaft hoop into the tranny crossmember. And do a little exhaust re-routing but that's minor. I'm using the driveshaft out of an 85 Jeep Grand Wagoneer. In the future I also plan on swapping the dana 44 from the Jeep too. Right now I have a dana 30 from a, 89 I think, Jeep Wrangler. It had 4.10's so I didn't have to swap gears. The dana 44 I have has 2.73's!!!!!!!!!!!!! So not only do I have to buy gears, but I will also need a different carrier. That's too much money and work for me right now. Maybe once I graduate.

Hey, that driveshaft hoop won't interfere with the movement of the deiveshat when flexing, will it? I know when you have SFA on S-10s theh have MAD flex most of the time. Just wondering......

Re: Rear End for \'90 S-10 Blazer?

It shouldn't. I've seen two other SFA Blazers with the hoops and they were fine. The crossmember is located fairly close to the transfer case. Mine has a desent amount of flex. My only limiting factor at the moment is the rubbing on the fenders. I've already cut the rear of the front wheelwell back by 2". I'm thinking about redrilling the center pin in the springs but I'm not sure if it's safe. Had some say it was and othere say it wasn't. I want to get a set of Revolvers front and rear, after the front axle swap. Of course that would require even more mods, more than likely new driveshafts. Might as well get a fixed yoke conversion on the back. And while I'm in the t-case, put in some 4:1 gears. Ya see, it never ends. If I had a pinto, I'd find a way to put seven million dollars into it, hahaha.
