I know this was posted before and i searched before i posted this but i need a link to identify my rear end by bolt pattern....AND .... how difficult is it to change the gearing at about 3100rpm i am moving @65mph and that seems to be about the limit without placing un-nessary stress on engine, any guess what gears i am running or how can I tell ??? /forums/images/graemlins/1zhelp.gif

Heres your axle indentification Axle ID

As far as your gears go, Is the truck stock? If it is look in the glove box for the RPO codes and look online for what the codes mean. Another way is to mark the driveshaft and tire and then turn the shaft and see how many turns it takes to get the tire to make on rev.

I was nice and looked up the RPOs for you
    GU4- 3.08
    GU5- 3.23
    GU6- 3.42
    GT4 or 5X1- 3.73
    GT5 or GT8 - 4.10
    G80- Limted Slip

    Hope it helps you /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
