    Hey all --

Can you post the sounds that a corp10 bolt will make when

    (1) there's water in the oil and the gov-lok is barking

    (2) the gov-lok is working normally

    (3) the gov-lok is trying to die

for example .. mine sounds like someone dropping BBs into a frying pan when there is little power applied to the driveline and/or turning

Why don't you just pop the cover and look at it?

Dude, you might as well call the psychic K5 hot line for as much reliable info as this post is gonna generate.[IMG]

Pull the damn cover and look at it...its only ten bolts, and they're little. Either that or borrow Executioners arthroscopic internal differential camera...[IMG][IMG]

I have run with a lot of water in a 10 bolt rear with a Gov-Lok. It never made and weird noises.

If the Go-Lok is working normally, you shouldn't be able to hear it.

What types of sounds is yours making? Barking? Sure you didn't forget and leave your dog leashed to the bumper while driving down the rode? LOL j/k

don't mind these guys, they're just having some good natured fun [IMG]

To me it sounds like you have a bearing that is shot. Of course, this is just me guessing.

The only way to be sure is to pull the cover and check it out. I had a bearing go on my original 10bolt, and I ended up swapping it out for a 14 bolt. When the bearing went, it sounded like metal being twisted, turned, crunched, broken, bent, etc, etc, etc ...........

    Good luck,

    Thomas.

PS: Rocko, I wanna borrow that camera when you're done with it --- I think I could find a couple of good uses for a camera like that [IMG] hehehe .......

Try dropping in a jug of factory G.M. posi lube. It gets rid of all kinds of noises.

Its forsale, used, and needs a good cleaning !
The tip is getting a good workout, and it keeps getting smeared in rear end fluid.
