rear end ?\'s

I was wondering which rear end is stronger or better out of: a new dynatrac dana 60, a full floater 14 bolt, or a currie extreme duty ford 9"?

all these rears are strong as he!!.it's just the Currie 9" and the Dynatrac 60 are about $2500 more than a set up 14 bolt(gears,locker,etc.).and i'm guessing the 14 bolt is still the strongest between the three.

14 bolt, it's probably the strongest, but also way way cheaper then any of the others. You could buy a roached one and rebuild it for probably $600, with a Detroit and your choice of gears, all new parts. The others would be thousands more. A 14 bolt is about the same strength as a stock D70, the ring gear is just slightly smaller. The only drawback is that it's bulky and has poor ground clearance, but it can be shaved to help out with that.

    14FF.

I have never seen one fail. I have seen D60's, stock or not, fail.

    Ford 9"...forget it! /forums/images/icons/tongue.gif
