Were all K20 trucks 8 lug? My father has an 84 K20 with 6 lugs. The rear is a 12 bolt. I don't think that K20 came with a 12 bolt but I'm just guessing. Thanks

I thought something was fishy. Thank you very much. Now I have a problem with the steering box. Me and my pops went to 3 different parts stores looking for a new box. No luck. The reason is that the shaft that goes to the steering column is fatter then the what is on the boxes from the stores. 13/16 compared to 3/4. Why is that and where did this box come from? Thanks.

I know some people here that have done that. They buy a 1 ton truck, Swap out the axles, and then sell the truck.

Well after all the running around we did, we ended up using the 1/2 ton box and rag joint. Apparently the parts stores only have the 1/2 ton box. According to them there is no such thing as a 3/4 ton box. oh well job finally done after two days and a snow storm. More snow tonight and all day tomorrow and even more for sat. Enough already. Winter is just getting started. Time to make up for last year.
